Business as usual
The purpose of this update is to let you know:
We have taken immediate steps to enable our team to work from home. With the help of our IT providers and support staff, these changes will enable us to remain connected to each other and our clients while ensuring the health and safety of our staff and their families. Our team remains fully contactable via email and phone and it is otherwise business as usual at Pragma.
Where our offices are in use by staff, clients and guests, we have implemented greater hygiene and precautionary measures to prevent transmission of the infection. Our offices are equipped with anti-bacterial wipes and sanitisers and we are employing more frequent cleaning and sterilisation of all doors, surfaces and desk equipment. All staff showing symptoms or returning from overseas travel are required to self-isolate for 14 days, and all other staff have been advised to observe social distancing where possible.
Our staff conducted a staff meeting yesterday via videoconferencing. We are presently arranging for our staff, in two seperate teams, to alternate their time in the office to ensure that our commitments to our clients are not interrupted.
Minimising non-critical face-to-face meetings
Our firm has implemented an immediate policy to avoid all face-to-face meetings and conferences wherever possible. This includes all non-essential business travel and all scheduled conferences, educational, and other events. Our firm has a suite of impressive technologies in place enabling teleconferencing, videoconferencing and other workplace efficiencies which will help us continue to deliver our legal services as usual and with minimal disruption.
Our response to the pandemic is intended to ensure minimal interruption to our clients and referrers. Our team will continue to work on your matters as usual, with access to our usual resources at our disposal. Where your matter is scheduled for court (including mediations or hearings), we will keep you advised of any mandates with respect to appearances or any other changes affecting your matter.
We are regularly monitoring the advice of the health authorities to ensure we stay up to date with all appropriate measures for the benefit of our people, clients and community.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with respect to the above. As always, if you have any concerns or questions about our response to the pandemic, or how we can help you or your business, please reach out to us.
