Millions of Workers Entitled to 10 Days' Paid Domestic Violence Leave

The Fair Work Commission has made a historic provisional decision that award covered workers should be entitled to 10 days of paid domestic violence leave. The current entitlement (applying to all employees) is 5 days of unpaid leave.

Monday's historic decision will apply to over 2.6 million employees, covered by 123 Modern Awards. It will only apply to permanent employees and we expect pressure on the incoming federal government to change the law so that all workers can access this leave.
