Pragma Lawyers advises on restructure and sale of Golden West Brewing Co
Pragma Lawyers is pleased to have acted for and assisted voluntary administrator Mr Mathieu Tribut in FOUND.’s acquisition of Golden West Brewing Co assets, maintaining the Subiaco destination venue.
Modular Brewing Pty Ltd trading as Golden West Brewing Co commenced operating from their Hay Street premises in Subiaco in 2021. Unfortunate financial conditions in the hospitality and brewery industries resulted in Golden West being placed into voluntary administration in late February 2024.
Pragma Lawyers assisted Mathieu Tribut, Director of Mackay Goodwin, in negotiating and finalising the sale of Golden West Brewing Co to FOUND. FOUND. are experienced brewers who own and operate a popular microbrewery in Byford.
Mr Tribut said: “The Pragma team was invaluable in obtaining the relevant consents and transfers of the liquor license to enable the sale, in addition to formalising the sale agreement”.
Pragma Lawyers were delighted to have assisted the parties in achieving this swift commercial outcome, particularly for a local Subiaco business like Golden West. The brewery is likely to reopen towards the end of September this year.
We look forward to assisting insolvency practitioners and businesses in the future in achieving these restructuring outcomes. The advice and representation of Mr Tribut was provided by Daniel Purdy, Nick Malone and Aaron McDonald.
