Dispute Resolution and Litigation Lawyer (1+ year PAE)

We currently have an opportunity for a permanent (full-time or part-time) Dispute Resolution Lawyer to join our firm.

About the role:

This role will allow you to work on a broad range of interesting and challenging matters and you will be exposed to a variety of practice areas including general dispute resolution and litigation, employment, insolvency, property and construction disputes.

This role will be suited to lawyers who have Court experience and those who are keen to develop their advocacy and litigation skills.

Employment Lawyer

Our employment practice has experienced sustained growth over the past few years and, with this in mind, we have a need for an Employment Lawyer with existing experience to join our team. The successful candidate will join an established, highly regarded practice and will work closely with the Director who has been recognised by Doyle’s Guide in the area of workplace relations and employment law, and is a WA Representative on the Industrial Law Committee within the Law Council of Australia’s Federal Litigation and Dispute Resolution Section.

About the role:

As someone with an interest in fast-tracking your career, you will enjoy a high level of autonomy and will be given the opportunity to work across a broad range of interesting and challenging matters across employment law, industrial relations, human resources and occupational health and safety. You will be entrusted with client contact from day one.

It is envisioned that the successful applicant for this role will possess strong communication skills and the ability to understand and respond to clients effectively. You will work with a diverse client base including executive employees and large ASX listed employers.

You will demonstrate a commercial approach and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels. In addition, you will have exposure to and experience within:

  • employment law and employment related disputes and litigation;
  • representing clients in industrial courts and tribunals;
  • industrial relations advice and disputes;
  • discrimination and termination related claims;
  • workplace investigations;
  • employee incentive schemes and remuneration;
  • drafting of employment contracts, policies and other workplace related agreements; and
  • occupational health and safety
