Biography

Elizabeth, known to most people as Libbi, is Director at Pragma Lawyers and a senior specialist employment lawyer. She is listed as a Recommended Employment Lawyer (Employer Representation) in Doyle’s Guide for 2023 and is a WA representative on the Industrial Law Committee within the Law Council of Australia’s Federal Litigation and Dispute Resolution Section.

Libbi graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts and was admitted to practice in Western Australia in 2010.

For the first 8 years of her career, Libbi worked in one of Perth’s most recognised employment law practices within a top-tier international firm, where she was promoted to Senior Associate.

In 2016, Libbi took a senior management position running the Legal and Workplace Relations Department of a large and powerful industry association. During her time there she provided employment law advice to hospitality employers ranging from small businesses to 5-star international hotels. She also provided commercial advice to the association as its General Counsel.

Libbi represents clients in both state and federal industrial courts and tribunals. She provides advice in respect of all matters across employment law, industrial relations, human resources and occupational health and safety.

Providing both front and back end employment advice, Libbi assists her clients to prevent small workplace issues from becoming big problems. Libbi’s clients appreciate her commercial and pragmatic advice in this complex area.

In January 2023 she launched Norfolk Workplace Consulting, a workplace relations consultancy and sister firm to Pragma.
