Michael is a Senior Associate at Pragma Lawyers.

Michael advises a wide range of clients on commercial law matters. He practices broadly across commercial & corporate law and can advise on:

• bespoke contractor & consultancy agreements (independent contractors, sub-contracting arrangements, construction, labour hire & recruitment contracts);
• corporate governance (company constitutions, shareholder agreements, share transactions, directors’ duties & board compliance);
• commercial agreements (terms & conditions of trade, international sales & distribution, licensing and agency arrangements);
• e-commerce, international sale and distribution agreements, website privacy terms and APP compliant privacy policies;
• tender submissions, advice on contract conditions, terms of tender and preparation of clause departures;
• business and asset sale agreements, due diligence processes and security interest registrations;
• intellectual property, trademark registration and infringement searches, assignment and protection of project/JV IP rights, licensing agreements & NDAs.

Michael also has significant experience and expertise in employment law. Michael can provide practical, streamlined solutions for businesses grappling with the complexities of our IR system and can advise businesses on managing compliance risks in their commercial context.

Michael’s strengths lie in his ability to distil complex legal matters into understandable concepts and provide practical advice with an appreciation for his client’s commercial goals.

Michael was admitted to practice in Western Australia in 2017. Michael holds a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Science from UWA, along with a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from ANU.

Michael particularly enjoys working with businesses at the nexus of technology, business and law. He has a keen interest in WA’s emerging industries (space, robotics, critical minerals, defence, manufacturing, AgTech and BioTech) and advising businesses through the next phase of WA’s industrial development.
