Disrupting Law Hackathon 2021

Pragma Lawyers has proudly supported UWA Law School's Disrupting Law Hackathon in support of the firm's commitment to innovation, since its inception.

This year Pragma's team (a group of law students mentored by lawyers from our firm) took home 1st prize with their application called CourtSide. A legal tech design to assist self-represented litigants in the Magistrate Court navigate tenancy issues. The team decided to focus on tenancy issues as a way of preventing homelessness.

The six members in Team Pragma included Casey Ngu, Niall Gilmour, Sebastian Tarrant, Jessica Watkins, Sam Tayyari and Megan Menon as well as Olivia Tate, Max Used, Nick Malone, Lauren Wright and Jason O'Meara from Pragma.

Well done all and thanks for the support of The Legal Forecast and Kate Offer.
